I founded United States Civilian Forces (USCF) on Zello in 2015. It has become the #1 Civilian EMS Disaster Response SAR Dispatch Team on the internet and Zello and in over 13 US hurricane and disaster operations.
Our 1000s of crowdsourced volunteers have helped, saved, rescued, informed, fed and positively impacted literally 100s of thousands of lives through Zello and outside Zello.
Sorry to say it, but Zello is a great idea that is lacking in design and marketing and is poorly executed in terms of policy. Their recent gaff of removing their trending list was a no brainer that says it all.

Zello needs to become an open source, encrypted and decentralized blockchain based app that is censorship free and self-managed by users (like couch surfing apps through up and down votes and reviews of each exchange between users). The trolls will sink and those providing value will rise.
If zello is ready to play ball then put your code up on github and let's start collaborating... otherwise get ready to be replaced.
Zello's corporate client server business model is doomed.
The future of free speech and #1A is decentralized, peer-2-peer, mesh network, blockchain, crowd-managed, PGP+ encrypted, and open source.
To hell with everything else.
